Lifestyle designer Kathy Ireland will join other leading designers in America as they converge this month on High Point, North Carolina, for the world’s largest home furnishings show. As one of America’s most celebrated designers and accomplished entrepreneurial CEO’s, KATHY IRELAND will unveil her new collection of furniture for the home in association with noted manufacturers, Standard Furniture and Style-Line Furniture. Kathy, whom the Associated Press and London Times calls "a best friend to working mothers" will be at the International Home Furnishings Center, Standard Furniture Showroom M-732 between April 15th through April 19th.
The Kathy Ireland Home Collection of furniture reflects Kathy’s brand mission statement to find solutions for families, especially busy moms. "She is under-served. It’s heroic for her to even make it into the furniture store. I want to make the process not only simple, but a fun experience for her," Kathy explains. To make furniture shopping less stressful and more enjoyable, Kathy’s design focus is based on a mix-and-match philosophy, found similarly in other portions of her brand empire, which provides function, versatility and allows consumers to "unleash their personal style," adds Kathy.
Kathy’s groups of furniture, being manufactured by Standard and Style-Line Furniture, will fall under three different lines that won’t compromise a family budget, including Essentials, Gallery and Young Attitudes. Prices begin at $50.00 and escalate to $2,469.00. Kathy Ireland Home Essentials brings great design styles that fit today’s lifestyles. Kathy Ireland Home Gallery offers special craftsmanship, unique design styles, and beautiful finishes. Kathy Ireland Home Young Attitudes presents us with designs that inspire the eager imagination that’s in all of us while incorporating safe, easy to care for and durable pieces. Each of these debuting collections feature styles inspired by Kathy’s travels all over the world. Kathy has established her trends to include European Country, Architectural, La Vida Buena, Young Attitudes and Tropical, which are reflected in the product offerings making their debut this year at High Point. "You’ll see a lot of fabrication, finishes and details in my collection, which are a direct result from listening to what my consumer wants," explains Kathy.
"We don’t think there’s a better brand out there than Kathy Ireland," said Don Mecke, Standard’s vice president of sales and marketing. "She’s a friend to the working mother, with high brand loyalty. There’s an emotional connection between our target audience and Kathy Ireland."
Kathy’s business efforts, which began with a line of socks, now encompass, in addition to furnishings, flooring, home accessories, lighting, sewing patterns, jewelry, apparel, television and publishing. Her brand recently received the legendary "Good Housekeeping Seal" for consumer excellence. Additionally, through dedicated media outreach to the Hispanic and African-American communities, the Kathy Ireland Brand has dramatically increased its awareness and fostered a strong relationship with America’s two largest minority groups. La Opinion, the nation’s largest Spanish-language newspaper named Kathy a "Estrella del Hogar" ("Star of the Home").
