GERS Retail Systems, a leading supplier of business solutions for the retail industry, announced successful launch of its automated warranty reporting tool for Stainsafe Inc., a leading home furnishings protection and service company. Several retailers, including Conlin’s Furniture and La-Z-Boy® of Indianapolis, are already using GERS’ new reporting function to automatically collect and submit warranty information to Stainsafe® once a sale is complete. This allows retailers to eliminate paperwork and reduce transaction time at the point of sale for improved customer service.
"Before we had this tool, we had to devote our resources every month to manually collecting all of our warranty information and developing a report for Stainsafe," said Joe Conlin, President and CEO of Conlin’s Furniture, a 17-store chain headquartered in Billings, Montana. "Now, we’re able to automatically collect a customer’s warranty information at the point of sale and seamlessly transmit that data directly to Stainsafe. Not only has this saved us a substantial amount of time and improved accuracy in reporting, it has provided us with an electronic archive of data and enabled us to provide better service to our customers."

Integrated into GERS’ Enterprise1 versions 7.1 and higher, this new reporting tool transmits all warranty information directly to Stainsafe. The reported data includes customer information, item detail, and warranty selected. By automating the warranty process at the point of sale, customers no longer need to manually complete warranty forms. This saves them time, and provides the added convenience of having a copy of their warranty stored in Stainsafe’s claims management system for the life of the warranty protection plan. The retailer no longer needs to worry about retaining sales data for the life of the warranties. Retailers can use this reporting tool to eliminate manual errors, speeding the transaction time at the point of sale for improved customer service. Stainsafe’s goal is reduced data entry, accurate customer records, and quicker response time for consumers calling to report a warranty claim.
