NHFA' Publishes Retail Performance Report and Retail Compensation Report

Two publications that are a "must" for every home furnishings retailer’s library are NHFA’s Retail Performance Report and the Home Furnishings Retailers Compensation Report. The Retail Performance Report is based on an annual survey of Home furnishings retailers all across the country. Results are computed from income statements and operating data. Statistics are broken down by region, product emphasis, single/multiple store locations, special order and sofa price point to allow for comparison with similar operations. Special emphasis is given to the difference between "high profit" and "low-profit" companies and the operational factors that lead to the differences in profitability. NHFA member stores that participate in the survey receive this valuable operating tool at no charge. Cost to non-participating members is $200 and to non-members, $400. The Home Furnishings Retailer Compensation Report gives details of compensation and benefits information for both members of the executive staff and other employees, Also based on a survey of NHFA member stores, results are broken down by region, store size, annual sales and number of locations to allow quick and easy comparisons. The report covers compensation information for all positions within the retail home furnishings company, from president to delivery helpers. For convenience, the publication is broken down into two reports. The first is devoted to statistics from companies with annual sales volume of less than $5 million; the second to stores with annual sales volume of more than $5 million. Cost of the Compensation is Report is $200 to members and $400 to non-members. NHFA members can receive both reports for only $400. The cost to non-members for both is $700.
