IFDA/NY Explores Internet Impact On Industry At April 27th Luncheon

The New York Chapter of IFDA (International Furnishings & Design Association) will focus on the e-commerce revolution during its April 27th luncheon program at the Roosevelt Hotel. "Global Webbing: The Internet's Impact on the World of Furnishing and Design" will be examined by four industry experts including: Marilyn Bellock, co-founder of GoodHome.com and former CEO of Marimekko. Lester Craft, Jr., Editor-in-Chief of E-Commerce Business and former Editor-in-Chief of Furniture Today. Mayer Rus, Editor-in-Chief of Interior Design . Wallace W. ("Jerry") Epperson, Jr., an industry specialist, Furniture Today columnist, and financial analyst/partner at Mann, Armistead & Epperson, Ltd., Richmond, VA. "With more and more retail shoppers and design professionals making decisive, big-package purchases simply by double-clicking on the Web, we need to take a look at how the Internet is affecting every aspect of our industry, " says Holly Munter-Koenig, IFDA New York Chapter president. The program will provide expert insights into the vastness of Internet commerce, its projected growth and how it will affect everyone in our industry. Held in the Terrace Room of the newly renovated Roosevelt Hotel (Madison Avenue at 45th Street) the event begins with a reception at 11:30 a.m. and is followed by the luncheon and program at noon.
