IWPA Develops Instant Sourcing for the Imported Wood Products Industry

The International Wood Products Association (IWPA) has just released their Online Directory of Members. IWPA's diverse membership consists of nearly 200 companies worldwide that provide products or services to the imported wood products industry. "The Directory is an excellent resource for architects, specifiers, purchasing agents, wholesalers, distributors, or any company needing sources for imported hardwoods or softwoods. Whether looking for U.S. or overseas suppliers of particular species of lumber, plywood, veneer, flooring or other wood products, or for information on ports and shipping lines, the Directory will give instant access to those companies that can provide them. It's a very user-friendly searchable database," stated Wendy Baer, IWPA Executive Vice President. "Those seeking products or services can easily find IWPA members to fill their needs." The Directory also includes direct links to members web sites and email addresses. The Online Directory is free because of support from advertisers, and is located directly at www.iwpawood.org/member_lookup.asp The International Wood Products Association is the only group organized in the United States to represent the interests of companies active in the import of all wood and wood products. Membership also includes companies with interests allied to the trade (including manufacturers, sales representatives, steamship lines, customs brokers, and port authorities), overseas producers and exporters of wood products to the U.S., and the major organizations to which these producers belong.
