American Furniture "Walk Of Fame" For High Point October 2001

Beginning with the October 2001 ' market, a new honor- will- be accorded to 'the American Furniture Hall of Fame and its members. Merchandise Mart Properties is creating an "American Furniture Walk of Fame" honoring the present and future members. Bronze plaques, inscribed with the AFHF and each member's name will be inlaid d into the sidewalk of the entries to the National Furniture Mart's "The Plaza" and "Market Square" entries as part of their extensive streetscape plan. "All of us as- MMPI are proud to include this highly visible recognition along the path so many honored men and women have walked," said Tom Mitchell, vice president of MMPI, High Point. "We are grateful to Market Square executives for honoring American Furniture Hall of Fame members in the center of the Market area," says Rob Sligh, immediate past president of AFHF and president of Sligh Furniture Company. "We commend them for their commitment to add all future members."
