Continuing its commitment to customer service, on-time shipping and effective after-sales service, Scottsdale-based Thunderbird Furniture, L.L.C. is poised to again show a continued increase in sales since the approximate 30 percent increase it reached since its acquisition by Ghelfi Capital Investments in late 1999. Due in part to the reorganization of the 75,000-square- foot manufacturing facility and an increase in production capabilities, Thunderbird Furniture has been able to expand its market share into Florida and parts of the Midwest. "Customer service and satisfaction is the cornerstone of our business," said John Payne, sales manager for Thunderbird Furniture. "Being able to expand our customer base is key to that success." In addition to expanded market share, Thunderbird will be introducing at the San Francisco Summer Market a new, solid hardwood youth bedroom collection named Aspirations. The new youth bedroom collection features multiple twin beds - cottage panel, bent slat sleigh and rake back bed; trundle/storage duel functional under-bed system; three-drawer knob options - brushed nickel, pewter or wood in black finish; large multi-use student desk/hutch combination; and an assortment of -.heqt and dresser options The top-selling oak bedroom collection, the Signature Oak Series # 2000, is now offered with new pewter knobs, offering a traditional alternative to the more country style oak wood knobs; available in the new rustic brown finish, and features the 14-drawer Squires Chest. The expanded Del Mar Series # 4000 adds consumer choices that carry a strong casual lifestyle influence. These choices include optional choice of pewter or brushed nickel drawer knobs; availability of a three-drawer jewelry chest; and an updated armoire, configured for TV/VCR use. For the first time, the Mission Trail Series # 7000 is available with a TV Armoire featuring interior cabinet space sized to accommodate most 36" televisions; a fixed shelf with VCR space; adjustable removable upper shelf, doors that swing open a full 270 degrees; front comer levelers; and aromatic cedar drawer bottoms in the lower two drawers.
