Magnussen Presidential Adds Vp Of Merchandising

Magnussen Presidential Furniture Inc. has appointed an industry veteran to a newly created position to develop new product. Ed Fritz has joined the company as vice president of merchandising-case goods to develop new categories of product and merchandising programs for the importer of occasional pieces. He reports to Jeff Cook, president of Magnussen's U.S. operations which are based here. Ed is a seasoned veteran with a passion for developing new product, " Cook says. "You don't have to look far in the industry to find product with his mark on ft. We are fortunate to add him to our growing team." Most recently, Fritz was vice president of international sales for the Lane Company where he also held merchandising positions. During his 23-year career in the furniture industry, he has served as vice president of sales at American Drew, as president of Universal Furniture Ltd-Canada; as president of Jamestown Sterling Corp.; and as president of Wisconsin Furniture Industries. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Lincoln University and a graduate degree from Duke University. In addition, Fritz has completed the Executive Development Program at Northeastern University. Magnussen Presidential Furniture Inc. designs and imports medium-priced occasional tables, accent furniture and case goods across all style categories for retail customers around the world. The Magnussen Express program delivers products domestically within five working days to participating retailers. Based in New Hamburg, Ontario, the company operates its U.S. division from High Point, N.C.
