Stuart R. Kaplan, Senior VP, Rooms To Go Furniture, has announced his retirement after almost six years with the company and over 30 years in the retail furniture industry. Kaplan was hired by Jeff Seaman, President of Rooms To Go, in 1995 to head up their rapid store expansion outside of their original Florida base of operations. Over his retail career Kaplan has held management and senior executive positions in mostly start-up or turnaround situations. Prior to joining Rooms To Go, he was the CEO and partner with John F. Lawhon for 10 years in their sales and management consulting company, Selling Retail International. Kaplan plans to remain active in the industry by doing retail consulting with selective, clients.
