Approximately 200 families who suffered damage to their homes as a result of the recent Oklahoma City tornado will soon be sleeping better, thanks to a donation of bed sets. The sleep sets are being provided through the combined cooperation of Premier Bedding Group (PBG), a mattress company based in Tampa, FL, Bassett Furniture Industries of Bassett, VA and local Sight 'N Sound Appliance Centers. "We are dedicated to better serving our customers and consumers and when this type of devastation occurs, your heart goes out," said Mike Ertel, President and Chief Executive Officer , PBG. "We are grateful to be able to work with Sight 'N Sound to help make it a little easier for the folks down here who are putting their lives back together." Four truckloads of Bassett mattresses have already been delivered to the Oak Crest Church of Christ, located on the edge of the storm's destruction at Southwest 89th Street, which is accepting donations for distribution to needy families in the area and serving as a shelter. "We applaud Bassett and Premier Bedding Group for their kind generosity," said Darrell Chabino, President, Sight 'N Sound Appliance Centers. "Shortly after this disaster occurred, they contacted us about donating beds and we readily accepted their offer." Premier Bedding Group, headquartered in Tampa, FL, is a mattress company and the exclusive North American licensee of Bassett mattresses. The company's product lines include Carrington Chase by Bassett, Dream Maker by Bassett, Performax and Nature's Rest. PBG was recently formed by LIS Corporation, an investment company with holdings in the bedding, marketing/communications and hotel industries.
