Wellington Hall, which has just recently reorganized under a new management team is already making its renewed presence felt with the introduction of the J. R. Wellington Collection. The J.R.Wellington Collection initially includes 32 pieces, and the introductory items are primarily 17th and 18th Century reproductions, reflecting the highest quality standards of “the Golden Era of Furniture Making”. Plans call for broadening into other styles and materials, while maintaining the highest levels of quality. The J.R. Wellington Collection’s initial offering is characterized by “old world” finish, beautiful veneers, exotic woods and superior craftsmanship. Included in the line are such items as a sideboard with crotch mahogany, and ebony & satinwood inlays, a French Walnut Burl huntboard, with bun feet and a fancy face top, and a Satinwood partner’s desk. A number of the pieces feature yew wood veneers. “We’re positioning J.R. Wellington to go head-to-head with comparable products from such companies as Bevan Funnell, Ardley Hall, and Craftique, and the J.R. Wellington line is an outstanding value,” says Wellington Hall vice president, Tim Harris. The J.R. Wellington introduction will include a Direct Container program, according to the company.
