Leo A. Hurtado Joins Badcock As Vice President And CIO

W.S. Badcock Corporation, one of the largest furniture retailers in the United States, recently announced that Leo A. Hurtado has joined the company as vice president and chief information officer for Badcock’s Information Technology Department. Hurtado will be responsible for managing all technology areas in the organization. Additionally, Hurtado will lead his management team in the development and implementation of strategies designed to take Badcock’s technology to the next level as the company continues on its successful growth path. Hurtado has more than 12 years of information technology experience in retail, finance, transportation, distribution, logistics and strategic planning. Prior to joining Badcock, Hurtado was the director of information technology services for One Price Clothing, a retail clothing chain of over 625 stores based in Duncan, South Carolina. Hurtado earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Martin University and a master’s degree in computer resources and information management from Webster University. Making use of his background as a baseball player, Hurtado has helped develop numerous baseball programs as a volunteer coach and mentor. He plans to continue such community involvement once fully settled in the area. Badcock has more than 320 locations throughout the southeast. Of those, 95 have converted to Badcock &more.
