IKEA Encourages Children to Get Their Hands Dirty and Wet Their Beds:

This summer, children throughout the country will bring them to live and provide them with wonderful living environments. Children ill keep these new friends company, talk to them, provide them with proper nourishment, and above all, watch them grow. And then...THEY'LL EAT THEM. On Saturday, April 18th from 11AM to 5PM, IKEA will help give kids a taste of gardening through the "Plant A Summer Herb" event. In IKEA stores throughout the country (excluding Seattle), budding gardeners will be able to dig into the essentials for planting and caring for their very own herbs, free of charge (supplies limited, one herb plant and pot per child). Additionally, these events will provide attendees with recipe recommendations utilizing herbs, and will feature raffles for various IKEA garden related products. "We're hoping children will have a great time, and be encouraged to start their own garden," said Marty Marston, spokesperson for IKEA. " And the experience won't stop after the children leave the store. Throughout the summer, kids will be able to watch their herbs grow...before literally 'biting into' this activity. Any way you look at it, it should be fun to watch these pint-size gardeners get their hands dirty. Bill Bradner Named Recipient of Dick Berry Award For Sales Excellence by US Furniture Industries. U.S. Furniture Industries, a leading manufacturer of casual dining furniture headquartered in High Point, NC, announced that sales representative Bill Bradner was named the recipient of the Dick Berry Award for Sales Excellence for his work in Central & Western North Carolina, Western Virginia and Eastern Tennessee. Bill Bradner will be presented with this distinguished award in April during the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point. The Dick Berry Award, established in 1995, is given in memory of Dick Berry, the greatest sales representative in U.S. Furniture Industries' history. It is the highest honor that can be bestowed on a U.S. Furniture Industries' sales representative. The award is not presented every year and recognizes professional conduct and attitude, work ethic, dealer service and percentage of sales increase.
