Kimball Home's new dining room, bedroom and family room styles will be sharing the spotlight with something else at the Fall Market this year- a brand new showroom. The residential furniture manufacturer just signed a lease for the second floor of the new Market on Main building. Located at 233 South Main Street in High Point, the new site is two doors down from Kimball Home's old showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center building. Kimball's new High Point home will encompass 10,000 square feet, more than double the space of its previous 3,900 square foot showroom. Officials say the company's dramatic growth during the past few Markets necessitated the move. "You could say we're chomping at the bit," laughs Robert Cribbs, Kimball Home Sales and Marketing Director. "Our company is definitely enthusiastic about growth. just since April of 1997 we've introduced four solid wood collections in different species, plus a wrought-steel-and-wood casual dining group. So lately we've found ourselves in need of more showroom space-it's a nice problem to have!" The manufacturer's main Fall introduction is Victoria Passage, a collection of British Colonial bedroom, dining room and occasional styles in solid maple. Twenty-four dining room items will join Kimball's 18th century Oak Traditions and Cherry Traditions collections, previously limited to bedroom styles. Kimball Home will celebrate its new showroom with a "grand opening" cocktail party on Wednesday, October 14th. "Our Spring introductions were very well received," Cribbs says. "Retailer response becomes more positive with every Market. Needless to say, we're looking forward to October. Kimball Home is the residential arm of Jasper, Indiana's Kimball International, located in Jasper, Indiana, (the number one manufacturer of wood office furniture, as well as a leading producer of hospitality and healthcare furniture). Previously-introduced solid wood collections for the home include Maple Creek, Pine Mountain, Cherry Falls and Oak Meadow. Kimball Home also offers Café Gardens, a wrought-steel-and-wood casual dining group that complements the above listed collections. For more information contact Kimball at rcribbs@kimball.com
