The International Home Furnishings Representatives Association announced its new venture with The Henry S. Lehr, Inc. Companies of Bethlehem, PA. During a press conference, held in the IHFC Ballroom, the two groups unveiled their joint creation, The Centurion Group. A collaborative effort, The Centurion Group is a risk management and insurance cooperative created to provide the home furnishings industry comprehensive coverage. IHFRA, founded in 1934, joined forces with Henry S. Lehr, a sixty-seven year-old leader in the insurance arena, to form an extensive liability coverage umbrella for the manufacturers, retailers, representatives, suppliers and wholesalers. "The partnership is a fantastic opportunity for our members and their manufacturers and retailers," says William Holland, CHR, IHFRA 2nd Vice President. "It is something we've been wanting for years." The products and services offered by The Centurion Group range from comprehensive general liability, extensive property and casualty, worker's compensation, general employment liability to freight, theft and advertising liability protection. "One of the most interesting and beneficial aspects of The Centurion Group is that we are able to offer coverage including many elements typically eligible only through 'exit-line items' and 'rider' policies," says Charles Ray, CHR, IHFRA President. "The Centurion Group will offer our industry the expertise and knowledge accumulated by the Henry S. Lehr Companies and our insurance experience," says William H. Lehr, President of Henry S. Lehr, Inc. Known for their ability to help companies become more profitable by better management of resources and reduced expenses, the HSL Companies include The Lehr Advantage, The Lehr Institute and The Lehr Management Corporation.
