SCHNADIG ANNOUNCES NEW TABLE DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Schnadig Corporation announced a state-of-the-art occasional table distribution center will be built at their Belmont, MS location. The current Henderson, KY facility will be phased out by early 1998. "In order to best accomplish the objective of providing quality service to our customers, we have decided to relocate our table operation from Henderson, KY to Belmont, MS where the company has its major upholstery and engineering operations," stated Ravi Kumar, Vice President of Operations. Currently, Schnadig's upholstery engineering operations are in the Belmont location. By having both table and upholstery engineering groups housed at the same site the development of all new table and upholstery products will be enhanced. Table operations will continue to be handled at the Henderson location through the end of 1997. The company remains focused on maintaining excellent customer service through the transition and will make every effort to make the transfer seamless to our customers. In addition to the Belmont location, Schnadig has upholstery manufacturing plants in Montoursville, PA and Corona, CA. Their frame manufacturing location is in Cornelia, GA.
