"We've chosen a selection of speakers that will make you sit back and think, and send you home with useful information that you can put to use in your business," says John Sanders, Sanders Furniture, San Rafael, CA and 1998 Conference Chairman. Chuck Reaves, president of XXI Associates and highly acclaimed consultant to the home furnishings industry, kicks-off a line-tip of top-rated home furnishings industry speakers with his topic of "Value Added Selling." Other educational topics include 10 Sensational Promotions by Philip Gutsell, president of Gutsell & Associates; The Secrets of High Profit Retailers by Dennis Conforto, GERS Retail Systems; How to Dramatically Increase Sales While Lowering Your Lighting Costs by Keith Estes, owner of Century Lighting; The Power of Coaching to Retain Good Employees by Dale Biron, president of Dale Biron Consultants; Retail Marketplace 2000 by George Whalin, president of Retail Management Consultants, and How to Target New Customers and Keep them Coming Back by Kathleen Finnegan, Senior Director of American Express. "If you are a new key manager or experienced CEO of a small, medium or large home furnishings business, a manufacturer, or manufacturer's representative who is dedicated to sharpening your leadership qualities, then this Conference is for you! The snow-capped peaks, the emerald Tahoe forest and the bluegreen water of Lake Tahoe provide the perfect backdrop for this Conference," adds Sanders. "There will be opportunities to take advantage of a variety of recreational activities, with the golf tournament at Lake Tahoe Golf Course, a sailing excursion on Lake Tahoe, horseback riding at Zephyr Cove plus time to relax and network with friends.
