AFMA Honors Industry Joseph Richardson, II At Annual Meeting In Naples, FL

The American Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFMA) takes special honor in presenting the 1998 Distinguished Service Award to Joseph E. Richardson, H. For his tireless efforts serving the furniture industry, his community and family, Joseph E. Richardson, ]I has been chosen to receive AFMA's most reserved honor. Joseph E. Richardson, II has served his family company,. Richardson Brothers, for the last 33 years. Richardson, a native of Sheboygan Falls, WI, is a graduate of Beloit College. Prior to going to work for the family business, he performed sales duties for U.S. Gypsum and Falls Dealer Supply. In addition to his responsibilities at Richardson Brothers, he is also active in his community as a Trustee of Lakeland College in Sheboygan and the Chairman of the Sheboygan Main Street Program. He is a Past President of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association as well as the American Furniture Hall of Fame. Richardson has three adult children, Joe III, Jim and Julie; and 5 grandchildren. The Distinguished Service Award is presented annually by the American Furniture Manufacturers Association to honor an individual in the furniture industry who has regularly gone above and beyond the call of duty to better their company, the furniture manufacturing industry, and their community.
