Household Signs Agreement With Levitz Furniture To Issue Its Private Label Credit Card

Household Retail Services (HRS) USA, the private label credit card business of Household International, Inc., announced that Household Bank (SB), N.A., entered into an agreement with Levitz Furniture Corp. to establish and maintain accounts under Levitz's private label revolving credit card program. Levitz is the second largest furniture company in the United States, with annual sales exceeding $800 million, through 90 stores in 21 states. The Levitz agreement reinforces HRS USA as the leading provider of private label credit in the furniture industry. "As we embark on our long term partnership with Levitz, we will be using our strong operational abilities and customized marketing to help Levitz build its sales," said Ross Longfield, HRS managing director and chief executive officer. Levitz Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael Bozic, said, "I am very excited about our new business partnership with Household. This is an important step in positioning Levitz to improve profitability and to effect its turnaround plan."
