Las Mobili has established an international competition entitled "the way of working", under the patronage of University of Florence and the Light Industry Study Centre. The purpose of the Competition concerns an overview of the furniture elements in a secretarial office and leaves the participants ample choice of any one of the basic office spaces. Lighting and seating elements are excluded. The competition is open to graduate engineers and architects, to university students in the faculties of Engineering or Architecture who have completed the short Degree course or are at least enrolled in the subsequent year of the course, and to graduates from design, graphic design or applied arts high schools. The participants will take part anonymously. The jury will consist of representative professionals from the furniture field and Las Mobili personnel. The Competition will be advertised in the press and by communications to professional bodies, university faculties and other structures likely to be interested in the theme. Detailed and complete information will also be available on the INTERNET at http://www.las.it/. Any queries or requests for clarification may be sent directly to the Competition Office at the following numbers: Freephone (+39) 800-013696, fax (+39) 0861.78.82.22, e-mail premio@las.it. All drawings and material must be delivered personally or sent through normal channels to: LAS MOBILI, Premio "IL MODO DI OPERARE", Via Nazionale 138, 64019 Tortoreto (Teramo), Italy no later than 30th October 1999.
