International Furniture Fair, Cologne Open To The General Public On Saturday And Sunday

The INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR in Cologne will also be open to the general public on Saturday, 24th and Sunday, 25th January 1998. In gross exhibition space of 275,000 square meters - that is equivalent to more than 40 football fields - around 1,400 companies from approx. 45 countries will present the world's largest range of furniture for all areas of the home - from avant garde style to period and rustic furniture, from upholstered furniture, tables and chairs, living room, dining room and bedroom furniture right through to kitchen furniture. The INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR has a visitor-friendly structure consisting of seven product sectors. For example, the German and foreign suppliers of kitchen furniture present their ranges in KolnMesse's Hall 14.1. The last two days of the fair which are open to the general public, provide visitors with the opportunity to obtain detailed information about the international home furniture and furnishing trends and to acquire ideas for a subsequent purchase in the retail trade. There are no sales to end-consumers. The Fair will be open daily from 09.00 to 18.00. Day tickets for the days open to the general public on 24th and 25th January 1998 cost DM 20.--. All admission tickets and exhibitor passes are also valid as travel tickets in the area served by the VRS-Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (Rhine-Sieg Transport Authority), i.e. they entitle the holder to free travel on local public transport buses, trams and trains in the Cologne/Bonn region.
