La-Z-Boy Incorporated, the nation's leading manufacturer of upholstered furniture, has announced the grand opening of a new La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Amarillo, Tex., at 2310 West 45th Street.
The new 15,003 square-foot store is devoted exclusively to La-Z-Boy furnishings, allowing customers to select from the full line of La-Z-Boy products for the living room and family room. Products offered will include the company's world famous recliners, motion sofas, sleep sofas, modular furniture and leather upholstery, as well as stationary sofas and chairs from the American Home Collection by La-Z-Boy. Also on display and available to consumers will be occasional furniture pieces by Hammary, a La-Z-Boy subsidiary.
"We are ecstatic about the opening of our latest La-Z-Boy store," said William Hawkins, who owns the store with his wife Cynthia. "La-Z-Boy does an incredible job of creating the styles of furniture that people are looking for today. Plus, La-Z-Boy's quality is unsurpassed."
The latest in a new generation of La-Z-Boy specialty stores, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries feature multiple galleries, each representing its own category of La-Z-Boy furniture. The new Amarillo store will feature fully accessorized room vignettes in four major galleries, including: a Living Room Gallery, featuring stationary sofas, loveseats and chairs in every style category from traditional to contemporary; a Family Room Gallery, showcasing motion sofas and loveseats, sofa beds and reclining chairs; a Leather Gallery, presenting an impressive array of leather finishes, textures, styles and colors available from La-Z-Boy; and a Chair Gallery that features the full range of world famous La-Z-Boy reclining chairs.
The new La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries also will feature a complete design center, including the La-Z-Boy Screen Test video catalog system that allows customers the opportunity to view any La-Z-Boy product in their choice of fabrics before they buy. In addition, each of the store's sales associates is a graduate of the La-Z-Boy Design Institute, a course that stresses the fundamentals of coordinating fabrics and styles.
"We are very excited about the opening of our latest La-Z-Boy store," said Patrick H. Norton, senior vice president of sales and marketing for La-Z-Boy. "The new Amarillo location expands and strengthens our presence in the southwest United States, and moves us closer to our goal of bringing La-Z-Boy products to the widest possible consumer base." cwinkler@la-z-boy.com
