WHFA Reaches Membership Milestone

Saturday, January 18, 2003, during the Winter Furniture Market in San Francisco, the Western Home Furnishings Association (WHFA) welcomed the 1,000th member to the trade association. The newest members who helped the association surmount this milestone are Richard Cazares and Saul Mendoza of Coppel Furniture, Fresno, CA who signed up for membership Saturday morning. The announcement and plaque presentation of 1,000th member was made that evening during the WHFA Cocktail Reception. “This milestone achievement just shows how active and vital WHFA is in the industry,” states Sharron Bradley, WHFA Executive Director; “The membership has doubled in less than 7 years, and we are on course for record membership growth this year.” The Western Home Furnishings Association serves 10 western states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington. The association is 100% member-owned and the largest affiliate of the National Home Furnishings Association, providing programs, services, and networking opportunities that improve business opportunities and management practices to Western home furnishings retailers.
