Jeff Richards Elected Chairman Of The Board Of The South Carolina Merchants Association

The South Carolina Merchants Association recently elected Jeff Richards as chairman of the board. Richards has been a member of the South Carolina Merchants Association for eight years and has been a board member for the past three years. Richards owns and operates the Badcock Home Furnishings Center in Clinton, South Carolina. Richards brings a treasury of experience to the South Carolina Merchants Association. He has been the owner of the Badcock Home Furnishings Center in Clinton since 1989. His previous retail experience includes Scotty’s Home Buildings Materials in Winter Haven, FL, Partin Oil Co. also located in Winter Haven, FL and the experience of a family owned service station business his parents had in Waverly, IL. Richards has been involved with Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts of America, Jaycees, American Red Cross, Bailey Elementary School Improvement Council, Eastside Elementary School Improvement Council, Habitat for Humanity and also the W.S. Badcock Dealer Advisory Committee. Richards lives with his wife and four children in Clinton, South Carolina.
