WHFA Academy Succeeds with Inaugural Sales and Operations Training Program

Over 30 home furnishings retailers from California, New Mexico and Washington attended the first workshops offered by the WHFA Academy in Los Angeles on April 1, 2004. These successful one-day training workshops were specifically designed to build and sustain a high-performance retail sales team and to effectively manage back-end operations for maximum profits. Angel Lopez, Deardens Los Angeles, CA commented on the Sales Management Workshop, “This was a very informative workshop -- relevant, and on target. A great presenter, a great workshop.” Jeanie Barrett, Martel Interiors, Upland, CA attended the Operations Management workshop and had this to say, “The workshop brought to my attention some new ways we can better utilize our employees’ time to increase profits and cut down on overhead expenses. A great seminar!” Due to the great success and increased interest in this WHFA Academy program, plans have been made to add a second date for this workshop. The new date and location will be October 7, 2004 in Seattle, WA. The WHFA Academy promises to “Boost two aspects of your business in one day with two separate workshops.” Workshop one is Sales Management and Workshop two is Operations Management, both workshops merge for lunch to share ideas over a networking luncheon. Registration fees for WHFA members are $159 for the first registrant, $139 for each additional and fees for non-members are $259 for the first registrant, $239 for each additional registrant.
