American Furniture Hall Of Fame Announces Foundation

The American Furniture Hall of Fame announced the formation of a 501(c)3 foundation, established in 2000, to the industry last night. They reported that over $ 100,000 has been received and deposited in a foundation trust account. Rob Culp III, Chairman/CEO of Culp, Inc., and president of the organization, said, "the funding to date was accomplished with the help of the AFHF directors, the officers and directors of the foundation, AFHF members and their families and AFHF donor companies. Because the foundation solicits securities as well as cash, end of the year contributions are encouraged." "We felt that we needed to raise the initial funding before we presented it to the industry and the public to ask for their help in establishing this foundation. These funds will cover the cost of videos and print materials for education in schools an museums that will make use of our major collection of archival materials. this will I help to secure the future of the American Furniture Hall of Fame as well as thecollection and protection of American furniture history."
