DeCoro Predicts Revenues Will Top US$250 Million With The Opening Of The World’s Largest Sofa Manufacturing Facilities

DeCoro, a leading manufacturer of quality leather upholstered furniture, predicts it will achieve a record turnover of US$250 million in 2003, just seven years since its establishment. A key factor behind DeCoro’s success is the June 2003 opening of new, state-of-the-art sofa manufacturing facilities in Shenzhen, China. With a total area of 2 million sq ft, the new factory is the largest sofa factory in the world, producing all components of a sofa under one roof. With its new manufacturing facilities and a combined workforce of 2,800, the company can now produce 55 containers each day and deliver sofas to anywhere in the world in 10 weeks. Facilitating delivery, the factory’s location in the new, special industrial zone in Shenzhen also gives DeCoro direct access to 24-hour customs declarations, documents examination and product inspection, saving substantial transition time through Hong Kong. “The location and streamlined operation of our new facility is greatly enhancing our production and delivery efficiency.
