W.S. Badcock Corporation, one of the country’s largest furniture retailers, announced that four more stores throughout the southeast are converting to the new Badcock &more home furnishings concept. The new stores are located in Greenwood, South Carolina; Laurinburg and Waynesville, North Carolina, and Griffin Georgia. Of the stores that have converted, all have seen at least a 20 to 70 percent sales increase. The new concept will be phased into 80-90 percent of all retail locations by 2007. The Badcock &more concept includes a product line of more than 4,000 items, a brighter, more spacious store display and a new logo. Badcock &more was introduced in January 2000 to better serve its existing customers while also appealing to a broader, younger customer base. Of the stores that have converted, all have seen at least a 20-70 percent sales increase. The new concept was designed by GRID2 International, an internationally recognized retail design store. Badcock has more than 320 locations throughout the southeast. Badcock is headquartered in Mulberry, Florida where the company was established in 1904.
