The Interiors Private Label Consumer Finance Program, offered jointly by GE Retail Sale Finance and Home Furnishings International Association, has launched lower discount rates with new point-of-purchase materials to help HFIA retailers sell more products and build greater customer loyalty and repeat. The lower rates offer member stores more savings and increased profit,î says Mary Frye, President of Home Furnishings International Association. A new design for the Interiors Card and promotional materials means a better fit with members store decor. A recent GE study has found that predominately displayed extended financing in-store signage will help start the sales process automatically. It is the storeís silent sales force. Stores that displayed extended financing signage had a 44% increase in processed applications and a 44% increase in same-day private label sales compared to stores without signs. The Interiors program enables retailers to put a store-branded card in the hands of customers looking for additional purchasing power. Plus, the reduced discount rates on selected promotions make offering extended financing more affordable. The Interiors Consumer Finance program is available through the Associationís partnership with GE Retail Sales Finance. Visit HFIA at the summer markets. HFIA staff will be at the Atlanta Market, July 9-12, in AmericasMart 1, 7th floor lobby. In San Francisco, visit the Association booth in the Mart 2 lobby, July 16-18.
