Due to the success of the initial workshop and broad support of education in the Northwest, Seattle was chosen to host the next WHFA Academy Workshop event. The concurrent workshops will be held October 7, 2004 at the Doubletree Hotel, Seattle Airport. The registration fee for the first registrant is $159/$259 (member/NON-member) if registered before September 15th. Additional registrants are $139/$239. Sharron Bradley, WHFA Executive Director continues, “We anticipate a very powerful educational experience for all of the attendees. We know there is a need for regional educational programs and are excited by the response to our first Academy event, and feel that Seattle will have an even larger turnout.” The WHFA Academy Workshops consists of two concurrent management workshop tracks designed to “create extraordinary results” and boost two aspects of the home furnishings retailer’s business in one day. Track 1: Sales Management Workshop and Track 2: Operations Management Workshop. The one day Workshops are specifically designed to build and sustain a high-performance retail sales team and to effectively manage back-end operations to maximize profits. Both tracks merge during a networking luncheon to share ideas and interact with fellow retailers. Discounted hotel rates are available at the Doubletree Hotel, Seattle Airport. Fees include a full day workshop, refreshment breaks, and a combined networking luncheon for all attendees. To register for the workshops or for more information about the WHFA Academy, contact WHFA Events Manager, Cindi Williams at (800) 422-3778, (916) 784-7677, events@whfa.org or register online at www.WHFA.org.
