WHFA Calls for Nominations to 2005 Board of Directors

The Western Home Furnishings Association is now calling for nominations to the 2005 Board of Directors. Only current WHFA members are eligible to join the Board. Official nominations are to be received in the WHFA office by August 15, 2004 for consideration. Nomination forms are available by calling WHFA at (800) 422-3778 or online at www.WHFA.org (in the “About WHFA” section). All nominations will be reviewed by a Board Nominating Committee and presented to the full board during the Fall Board Meeting for ratification. The final slate of Board Members and Officers is formally approved at the Annual Membership Meeting, during the January 2005 San Francisco Furniture Market. As a WHFA Board member you benefit by: Being first to hear of furniture industry information; learn how government regulation will affect your business; exchange ideas and network with some of the most successful retailers in the home furnishings industry; learn new management and people skills by working with other successful industry leaders; establish long-term friendships with industry peers; and gain the satisfaction of giving back to your industry by helping WHFA create new programs and services that will help other home furnishings businesses Board Members are asked to serve a 3 year term beginning, January 2005 and assist the Association with long and short term goals. Board members serve on committees which guide all of the Association’s efforts.
