USA BABY, a leading specialty retailer of infant and children’s furniture and accessories, is opening a new store at the corner of Farrington Highway & Kunia Road at the Waipahu Town Center. The store will be located at 94-0050 Farrington Hwy. in west Waipahu, “Crossroads to the Ewa Plains.” The planned opening date is September 15, 2004. Valerie King & Chris Azevedo, a husband-wife team, are the owners of the new USA BABY retail store, along with partner, George Correia. This is their first USA BABY franchise, and they are excited about the opportunities being presented to them to help the people of Honolulu with their needs as new parents. According to Chris, “USA BABY is a great place to shop; we carry everything new parents need. We are a one-stop specialty retail infant and children's furniture store.” In fact, this is why Valerie, Chris & George went into business; they wanted to help new parents find what they want and need for their babies. According to George, “Having a baby is a special time in a person's life. We want to help parents provide for their children’s most basic needs. Building memories is an important part of building a family, and through our business we can provide families the things they need to help build the kinds of good memories that will last for generations.” Valerie added, “We chose USA BABY because they were the biggest and best in their category. Valerie is the Partner/President of “Blue Hawaii, The Show” at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel, and the Partner/Vice President of GAC Tours. She was also the previous President/COO of Ticket Plus and the President of Navatek Cruises. Chris is the Manager at Creative Furniture, and also the President/Partner of Moondreams Enterprises. George has been Partner/President of GAC Tours during the past 25 years. Valerie & Chris live in Royal Kunia with one of their two daughters. Their second daughter lives in Vancouver, Washington. George lives in Hawaii Kai with his wife and the youngest of his six children.
