Nick Lanphier Adds Presidency To CEO Post At Oakwood Interiors -- Adds New Wood Species to Product Lineup.

Nick Lanphier (pictured above), founder of upper price casegoods producer Oakwood Interiors has added the presidency to his post as chief executive officer. Lanphier bought out his partner Larry Parnell who retired this past year. Founded in 1982 by Lanphier, Oakwood interiors represents the highspot of a unique wood working career that began at age 15 for the executive, building church furniture 40 hours a week while attending school. At age 18, he was emploed building kitchen cabinets while making bedroom furniture in his garage after hours. By age 21 he started a factory in Covina, California producing bedroom furniture. At age 22 he founded Oakwood interiors. Oakwood Interiors is now expanding it's product line to include new wood species. "After over two decades of focusing solely on Oak," said Lanphier, "our company is broadening its selecion starting with an Alder group, the first of many new introductions. We will also be introducing a new home theater group for the fall."
