Former Sealy Mattress Co., Vice President Sam Schwat Passes

Sam Schwat former Sealy Vice President and longtime member of the Greater New York Home Furnishings Association has passed away after a long illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, at Gutterman's Funeral Home in Rockville Center, NY(516) 764-9400. Sam devoted much time and energy to the local NY area furniture industry serving as President and in other capacities at GNYHFA. He was the Association's "Man of the Year" in 1979 and and was also presented with the "Meadoff Award For Sportsmanship.
