Dansk Announces Partnership With Acclaimed Textile Designer Liora Manné

Renowned textile designer Liora Manné brings her incredible color-sense and design expertise to the tabletop arena as she teams up with Dansk to create two new collections. The new Sirena and Lyon collections fuse Mann_'s painterly patterns with Dansk's rich heritage of style and functionality to create everyday objects that are artful expressions of daily life. A visionary artist and designer, Liora Manné, a native of Jerusalem, Israel, has made her name by using her talent for textile design in a unique manner. Utilizing her Masters degree in textile design and engineering, Manné developed an innovative fiber technology method which fuses the ancient art of felting and textile technology, “Lamontage:” “lamina” for layering and “montage” for image. Available in colors taken from nature - Lichen, Fern and Stone - The Dansk Liora Mann_ collection highlights her distinct design aesthetic by emulating the Lamontage process and showcasing her extraordinary color sense. This dinnerware is an elegant and contemporary collection that offers organic shapes and two different sized mugs - a breakfast cup and a coffee mug. Sirena, available in Lichen, is characterized by a delicately textured green and accented with creamy lobed leaves. The earthy and organic round dinner and salad plate feature a cream body with a patterned green band while the soup/cereal bowl, cup, mug and serving items are enveloped entirely in the lush color and pattern. Both the accent plate and pasta/rim soup bowl have a square profile, adding additional interest and layers to the collection. The Lyon pattern, available in Fern and Stone, features a lace leaf pattern around the band on the square pasta/rim soup bowl, dinner plate, salad plate and square accent plate, as well as along the top of the mug and cup. The raised ridges of the pattern give the collection style and sophistication, while offering each piece a unique texture. Accessories include a round platter, serving bowl, sugar, creamer and pitcher. Manné established the first Liora Manné store in the heart of Soho last year, showcasing her lifestyle concept which now features several new collections in addition to her Lamontage rug designs.
