La-Z-Boy Casegoods Group President Steve Kincaid announced that David M. Sowinski has been named to the position of President Pennsylvania House, Inc. Kincaid noted, "As we continue to transition our business model at Pennsylvania House, Dave brings a wealth of experience to lead the Pennsylvania House organization through this change." Kincaid continued, "We remain committed to building the Pennsylvania House brand which is one of the better known brands in the industry. Clearly we have a great opportunity to reposition the company in an effort to provide a competitive advantage for our dealers. Dave's previous position was Senior Vice President-Operations for the Casegoods Group where in addition to being involved in casegoods operations was responsible for various group activities, including Logistics and La-Z-Boy Global, our sourcing organization. This role gave him the knowledge and experience necessary for this important shift to an import model where focus on supply chain excellence is critical to our continued success. I am confident Dave's strong analytical and planning abilities along with his business savvy and experience with the customer base will make him extremely effective in this role." Sowinski started with the Casegoods Group in 1995 and gained his first experience in the furniture industry in 1990 with the Lowenstein Furniture Group. He began his career serving 9 years as a CPA with Ernst & Young.
