(formerly Western Exhibitors, Inc.) is announced that the 6th annual Northwest Home Furnishings Show will be take place at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, Seattle, Washington March 20-22, 2004—which makes it a perfect opportunity for emerging designers and manufacturers to reach a new client base. This market features a large percentage of smaller artisans, craftsmen and manufacturers, which adds a rich element of one-of-a-kind, exclusive products not seen at other trade events across the nation. In addition, the timing will allow this event to stand-alone from other gift and home furnishing industry events and attract a broader exhibitor base. “The Northwest Home Furnishings Show allows both ends of the industry—exhibitors and buyers—to forge lasting business relationships in a convenient, easy-to-shop forum,” stated Joan Stockton, Show Manager of the Northwest Home Furnishings Show, Universal Shows, Inc. “The timing and structure of this market allows more time for retailers and interior designers to find unique product and enables the vendors to gain more insight into the needs of Northwest consumers,” continued Stockton. The product categories featured are furniture—traditional to contemporary; case goods; textiles; area rugs; lighting; children’s furniture and home accessories; garden furniture; home accents; and wall décor. In addition, new features will be added to enhance the product mix and allow more choices for buying—the Vintage Collection (antiques and found objects) will be incorporated into the March Northwest Home Furnishings Show and offer immediate release of one-of-a-kind vintage items for resale or display. The Northwest Home Furnishings Show also offers the retail attendees an opportunity to be included in two daily cash drawings for $250 toward invoices of merchandise purchased at the show.
