Former Breuners Executive Scott Weiss Joins SCA

Scott M. Weiss has joined Shoppers Charge Accounts (SCA) as vice president-risk management/compliance. In his new position, he will be responsible for establishing and monitoring approval criteria for SCA’s merchant credit cards.
Mr. Weiss comes to SCA from United Retail Group, Inc. parent company of the Avenue chain, where he served since 1999 as credit operations manager. From 1992 to 1999, he was corporate credit manager for Breuners Home Furnishings Corporation, Lancaster, Pa. Prior to that, he was treasury supervisor for Columbus Line, Inc. in Jersey City, N.J. Earlier in his career, he served as a credit and collections coordinator for H&M International Transportation, Inc., Secaucus, N.J.
A resident of New Windsor, N.Y., Weiss graduated from William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J. in 1988 with a B.A. in communications/public relations.
