TLS by Design, the provider of high-design residential and commercial furnishings delivered at mid-market prices, announced two more lines demonstrating their ability to deliver on their value-driven strategy. These lines of distinctive Screens and Brass Inlay Collection will be showcased at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C. The Screens and Room Dividers are branded under the Tikal and Kensington names, each produced with a patent-pending process of incorporating hand-screened papers in a variety of configurations. The Tikal line offers solid hardwood frame construction in a wide range of finishes. These are tall, solid, two-sided pieces of furniture. The Kensington line offers a very well received design which appears to be branded with ancient hieroglyphs. This “branded effect” is accomplished through hand-carving the designs and then coating the carvings with calligrapher’s ink. All of the Screens and Dividers are available in customized sizes, whether the client requires additional panels, panels of a different height or breadth, or whether hues different from the lines’ traditional faux gold and silver leaf tones are desired. TLS will work with the designer and client to deliver precisely the product which is desired and deliver this customized product in quantity within 10-12 weeks. Due to the positive reaction to the company’s prototype brass inlay dining/conference table from the Meritage Collection which debuted at the Atlanta Mart, TLS has expanded its offering of brass inlay tables. The initial concept was designed by one of our US designers more then a decade ago, but due to the lack of cost effective production alternatives, the design was never implemented. When the market saw the 9 foot long prototype shown in Atlanta and realized that at $2,250 the price was less then half the price of other custom inlay products, the reaction was extremely positive. TLS is expanding on this concept, offering tables of varying lengths and a great variety of inlay patterns. As with the screens and room dividers, custom designs can be delivered within 10-12 weeks. In addition, TLS will be introducing a line of accent/occasional tables at the July show in Las Vegas. This line extension will include consoles in a variety of sizes. About TLS by Design. Founded in 2003, TLS focuses on providing unique furnishings influenced by design concepts discovered through the founders’ twenty years of traveling the world, four continents and over 30 countries. Many of the designs were inspired by native art forms, whether Mayan, Aboriginal or Tibetan. Simple, honest designs made of the finest materials. Delivering value to customers and their clientele has been the primary focus of the company. Starting with these “travel inspirations”, TLS hired both Asian and US designers to play off of one another to create truly original works. From sketches to water color renderings then on to computer generated images traded back and forth across the Pacific, the international team works off of each others’ ideas to create designs not found elsewhere. Operating out of a wholesale showroom and warehouse located about 20 miles north of Indianapolis, in Anderson, Indiana; the company is centrally located in order to keep shipping costs to a minimum. TLS by Design’s line can be seen on the 13th floor of the Atlanta Mart in the Lane & Lane showroom. The company will be exhibiting at High Point in April at Showplace (1st Floor, Booth 1103) and again in the July Las Vegas show (Booths C1022 and C1122).
