Two new officers and nine trustees nominated by members of the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) were elected to the ISPA Board ofTrustees today at the ISPA EXPO 2004 Industry Breakfast Meeting in Indianapolis, IN. Thomas C. LeDuc, managing director of Spring Air West, was elected chairman of the Board. As ISPA’s chairman, LeDuc will serve on ISPA committees, preside over membership meetings, and work to advance member interests. LeDuc, who has most recently served as the Board’s vice chairman, will serve a one-year term. He succeeds Richard Diamonstein of King Koil Mid-Atlantic, who was re-elected to a one-year Board trustee term and who will continue serving on ISPA’s Executive Committee. Leduc notes that the Board’s biggest challenge “goes back to our mission statement: to enhance the growth of the industry as a whole and to make sure our products are safe, not just in reference to flammability but in addressing other issues on the horizon—the environment or safety issues in plants. Our organization has been proactive, now more than at any other recent time.” Orders of Park Place Corporation was named vice chairman of the Board. Orders, who has served on the ISPA and SPSC Boards and the ISPA Executive Committee, will serve a one-year term. Other officers who continue their roles for oneyear terms are President and Chief Executive Officer Dick Doyle and Treasurer Bob Bobowski, both of ISPA. The ISPA Board of Trustees represents the association, its members, and its principles. It regulates the association’s business conduct, disbursement of funds, committees, and all aspects of ISPA membership including meetings, dues, rights, and privileges. Board Members who continue their roles as trustees include David Clark of Englander Bedding Co.; David Fogg of Tempur-Pedic, Inc.; Marvin Hamilton of Fibex, Inc.; Paul Hauser of Leggett & Platt, Inc.; Robert Hellyer of Simmons Company; Ed Lilly of Serta, Inc.; Mike Malkiewicz of Wickline Bedding Co.; Drew Robins of Restonic Corp., Houston; Bob Steelman of Carpenter Co.; and Kerry Tramel of Lady Americana Associates, Inc.
