W.A.C. Lighting Honors Leonard Schwartz Announces Annual Employee Awards

W.A.C. Lighting President/COO Richard Kurtz has announced several employee awards during the firm's annual Winter Event, held in December at The Water's Edge Restaurant in Long Island City in Queens, NY. W.A.C. Lighting is a leading and rapidly growing designer and manufacturer of track, recessed, under-cabinet and monorail lighting. Executive Vice President of Sales/Marketing Leonard Schwartz was honored for his outstanding level of service and significant achievements. Mr. Schwartz, who retired at the end of 2003, has played a major role in the firms' growth during the past 13 years. He is succeeded by Chas Bernstein, who joined W.A.C. Lighting in March and oversees the national sales force and marketing programs in both residential and commercial lighting markets. Tony D'Alessio (Credit Analyst) was named "Rookie of the Year" for his high level of performance in the accounting department, customer service, and his ability to work as a team player. Kit Tsang Operations) was awarded "Team Player of the Year" for his strong ability to work effectively among colleagues in both the Garden City, NY headquarters and the west coast distribution center and offices. He made significant contributions on operational issues and during the implementation of the SAP software system. Eric Huang (NY Warehouse) was named "Employee of the Year" for his strong ability to work as an effective team player and multitask on issues of shipping, customer service, and SAP software implementation. "Team Spirit" award was presented to the entire Customer Service Team in both the Garden City, NY and City of Industry, Calif. facilities, for their superior level of customer service, including order entry, order processing, troubleshooting, and determination to help dealers succeed in the marketplace. Evelyn Liu (Operations) was named "Manager of the Year" for her significant contributions, including SAP software implementation, customer service, shipping and warehouse operations in both New York and California facilities. She also played a major role in bridging communications between US operations and the manufacturing facilities and offices in China. About W.A.C.
