Romweber, the oldest wholly domestic manufacturer of furniture in the United States, is now offering Webinar training programs so that sales associates of Romweber dealers can receive support on their own time in their own environment. The audio and video training will feature a seasoned, degreed interior designer with extensive experience in the retail industry and the training will be offered at no charge. "We know how busy our partners are, and on-site training is sometimes tough to arrange," said Bruce Rippe, Romweber's president. "Now, they can receive the information right at their desk tops, with a few clicks of the mouse. I believe we're the first in the industry to offer training over the Web." The newly coined "RomWebinars" are tailored to the dealer's program and provide sales associates information on manufacturing processes, product construction features and other crucial product information, as well as advice on selling approaches, through role play. Romweber, which has been offering finely-made furniture since 1879, is always searching for new ways to help furniture dealers control their bottom line, Rippe said. "RomWebinars" achieve that by: -saving training costs associated with travel. -saving individual and organizational time, which contributes to productivity. -keeping staff in their primary office location where they are typically more productive. "Dealers have responded very positively to this because it allows their people to receive training on their own time, at their convenience," he said. "This is just another way Romweber sets itself apart from competitors and helps satisfy its loyal customers." About Romweber: Romweber is a family-owned company that has manufactured furniture since 1879. It is one of only seven domestic furniture manufacturers left in the United States. The name Romweber stands for extraordinary quality at an exceptional value. The company's "Old World" construction methods offer exceptional attention to detail and unparalleled versatility. Romweber has excelled in the creative use of veneers for more than 100 years, employing artisans to find and select unusual real-wood veneers from far-reaching corners around the world, so they can be hand-finished to match the character and color of the wood. Romweber furniture has been purchased by U.S. presidents and Saudi royalty and can be found at such illustrious locations as the Carter Library at Emory University, the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in Michigan, and The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Throughout its history, Romweber has been known for several successful signature lines, including the Nordic-based Viking Oak Collection, which thrived from 1935 to 1987, making it the longest continuing, commercial furniture collection. Today, Romweber designs and manufactures more than 90 individual, signature pieces, including entertainment units, wall systems, bookcases, home office units and storage cabinets, at its 450,000-square-foot facility in Batesville, Ind.
