Chicago-based Butler Specialty Company is showcasing its most elegant accent furniture by moving the upgraded and expanded Connoisseur’s Collection front and center at its International Home Furnishings Market showroom, IHFC C-354.
Butler adds 26 pieces to its top-of-the-line collection, which has evolved since its 2002 debut into a stately lineup of traditional styling, fine woods, premium veneers, shimmering finishes, and exquisite inlays and marquetry. These new products, complementing 51 pieces selected to remain in the collection, sit atop Butler’s price range with suggested retail points ranging from $499 to $2,799.
Including Connoisseur’s Collection, Butler serves up 11 collections and more than 1,400 pieces, all boasting original designs. Butler offers America’s largest and broadest accent line with a wide range of price points, styles and product categories. More than a third of the product is fresh to the line this year. New products cover price points from lower middle on up. Butler recognizes that astute dealers – and consumers – realize that value stretches across all price points.
As a one-stop resource for accent home furnishings, Butler has raised the bar with the new Connoisseur’s Collection, providing retailers with top-quality accent furniture at least as good as anything else in the marketplace at price points packing exceptional value. Butler introduces pieces covering price points from lower middle on up.
“With the new and expanded Connoisseur’s Collection, we are hitting the high notes and competing with the finest names in the industry,” says Dan Sumner, vice president of sales and marketing. “Each one of these exquisite pieces is created for those with discerning tastes who, recognizing the best, won’t settle for less. They are meticulously crafted from the world’s finest materials and destined to become brightest spots in already elegant rooms.”
Butler uses only the world’s finest woods and veneers in crafting each Connoisseur’s Collection piece. Combinations of ash burls, mahogany, walnut, rosewood, crown cherry, myrtle, pine, sycamore and bird’s eye maple create artistic patterns. Connoisseur’s Collection also features marquetry by artisans cutting and piecing together various woods as inlays in artistic patterns. Finally, the rich patinas of natural wood tones are preserved through hand-rubbed finishes.
Established in Chicago 75 years ago by the fathers and grandfathers of today’s owners/managers, Butler has specialized in accent furniture longer than any other company in America. Products include chests, tables, benches, chairs, game tables, console cabinets, secretaries, armoires, bars, entertainment centers, headboards, fireplace screens, desks, pedestals, mirrors and globes. These pieces are designed to be brightest spots in rooms throughout the home. They’re crafted from solid woods and veneers with exquisite inlays and fossil stone. Many pieces feature authentic hand painting. Others are made from an array of exotic materials in inspired combinations of fossil stone, hand-hammered copper and various metals, bamboo inlays, cane and rattan.
