HOM by BERMANFALK announced that they will introduces their popular contemporary furniture collections in beautiful, natural walnut wood at the Canadian Home Furnishings Market (TCHFM) in January. HOM will also be making North American introductions of a number of new pieces along with a new stain colour. The contemporary hand-crafted Sonoma and D-Line collections feature a complete line of residential furniture for affluent and modern urban living. Traditionally offered in solid birch, both collections will now be available in solid natural walnut. “Natural walnut is a beautiful, exotic wood,” said Matthew Quetton, designer for HOM by BERMANFALK. “It is a perfect fit for our collections and adds depth and character to each piece.” Sonoma: Featured at the TCHFM in the new Graphite stain, the Sonoma is a bold, clean-lined fusion of eastern and western aesthetics with an extensive use of solid wood. Also new for 2006 are the upgraded Sonoma dining tables and the new TV cabinets. The dining tables now come with solid wood tops; while the new TV cabinets are designed to hold the latest flat-screen televisions. D-Line: Featured for the first time at the TCHFM in solid natural walnut, the D-Line is a modern take on classic mid-century Danish design with a unique mitred case construction and solid wood edging. Also being introduced is the new D-Line canopy bed. Defining a new dimension in contemporary bedroom space, Quetton describes this unique new bed design as “uniting architecture and furniture, to outline and re-define interior shelter”. The new D-line bed incorporates integral storage and is available both in solid natural walnut or birch wood with HOM’s seven exclusive stain colours.
