Carpenter Joins Magnussen Presidential As Vice President Of Marketing & Business Development

Magnussen Presidential Furniture Co. has named Ronald B. Carpenter as Vice President of Marketing & Business Development. Carpenter, who most recently was a principal with Strategic Marketing Solutions, LLC, will oversee all aspects of marketing, brand development and management, and strategic planning for the company. "Ron has assisted us with strategic planning for several years and his work has been a major contributor to our rapid growth," says Jeff Cook, president of Magnussen Presidential. "As we continue to grow and our business becomes more complex, our need to manage this growth strategically has increased and Ron is a welcome addition to our senior management team. "in addition to strategic planning, we look to Ron to drive our current brand development initiative, create the marketing programs that will continue to differentiate Magnussen in the marketplace, and provide the foundation to expand our distribution." Prior to joining Magnussen, Carpenter founded Strategic Marketing Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm providing furniture manufacturers, retailers, and suppliers with strategic planning assistance and marketing consultation. Before that, he was Director of Furniture Industry Consulting Services at BDO Seidman and has held senior marketing management positions at Lea Industries and The Bedroom Superstore. Carpenter, holds an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, and a BS with high honors from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Magnussen Presidential Furniture Inc. designs and imports medium- and upper medium-priced occasional tables, accent furniture and case goods across all style categories for retailers around the world. The company brings 18 years of experience with offshore sourcing focused on quality control of state-of-the-art technology, workmanship, finishing and timely delivery. As a result, the Magnussen Express Program delivers products domestically within five working days to participating retailers in the United States and Canada. Based in New Hamburg, Ontario, the 70-year-old company operates its U.S. division from High Point, N.C.
