Elvis fans and modernized retro furniture lovers will be saying, "Thank you, thank you very much," as they browse the aisles of Roomful Express Furniture later this summer. The Pittsburgh-based furniture retailer, with 12 locations serving Western Pennsylvania and the Southeast Ohio/Wheeling, W.Va. market, will be the exclusive dealer for The Elvis Presley Collection - a signature line of bedroom furniture from Vaughan- Bassett that will be unveiled on August 10. The Elvis Presley Collection - licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. - consists of two all wood bedroom groups. Elvis Presley's Hollywood includes a choice of three beds and three signature pieces (the Elvis Presley leather platform bed, the Platinum Record mirror and the Elvis Presley armoire) in a retro-inspired maple or natural cherry. The look is reminiscent of settings in Elvis' movie-making days in the 50s and 60s. Customers may also special order signature "EP" hardware. Prices range from $799 and $999 for the individual beds to $2,499 for the basic group. Elvis Presley's Graceland is a more traditional bedroom group in a rich cherry finish that brings to mind the great mansions and manors of the Old South. There are two beds in the group and three signature pieces including The Love Me Tender bed, Burning Love heart-shaped mirror and Elvis Presley armoire - featuring an Elvis Presley autograph on the frosted glass door. Prices range from $999 for the Mansion bed to $2,999 for the group. A limited supply of Elvis posters will be given away to the first 150 customers who come into each store during the August 10 introduction. Limited edition replicas of framed Elvis gold records will also be sold in the stores, and customers may register for a Graceland vacation package to be given away later in August. "Elvis loved retro and traditional furniture, and similar designs can be found at Graceland and The Heartbreak Hotel in Memphis," said Jack McGowan, Roomful Express CEO. "The popularity of Elvis is a perfect fit for our customer demographic. We also have a very good relationship with Vaughan-Basset, and we were immediately impressed with the collection's quality and value. I'm confident it will be a good seller for us due to its association with Elvis, the quality of each piece, and our agreement as the exclusive dealer in the Pittsburgh market."
