As World Market Center prepares to hold its next Las Vegas Market in January with the grand opening of Building B, officials announced the signing of several of the nation’s largest lighting manufacturers. With the addition of a number of lighting category leaders and the expansion plans of current tenants, World Market Center is becoming an important and growing resource for lighting buyers with nearly 60 companies representing this category. Quoizel, one of the nation's leading designers and distributors of decorative lighting, celebrated the grand opening of their new showroom at World Market Center during the 2006 Winter Las Vegas Market. A leader in the lighting industry for more than 75 years, Quoizel’s 4,000 square foot showroom is located in Building 1 at World Market Center. Quoizel President Rick Seidman commented, “As our company celebrates this 75-year milestone as well as the launch of a new brand, we are very excited about our new showroom in Las Vegas and the recent Market proved to be a huge success for our company. There is no question that the Las Vegas Market is an essential market for our Home Furnishings Division.” Murray Feiss, the foremost designer and manufacturer of interior and exterior lighting and home décor, leased a showroom in Phase Two at World Market Center, scheduled to open for the January 2007 Las Vegas Market. Throughout Murray Feiss’ fifty years of operations, three generations have nurtured the company and it now stands as a leader with a reputation for impeccable craftsmanship, innovative design and honest value. In 2005, Murray Feiss opened a state-of-the-art 210,000 square foot distribution center in Las Vegas to better serve their customers. Monte Carlo Fan Company, a manufacturer of trend inspired, fashion-forward, ceiling fans and accessories will also be joining the lineup of companies with showrooms in Building Two. Due in part to the efforts and design standards of Monte Carlo, ceiling fans have become functional home décor accessories that complement or create a style. Founded in 1996, the Monte Carlo Fan Company is a division of Sea Gull Lighting Products, Inc., a leader and innovator in the lighting industry for over eighty-five years. Monte Carlo Fan Company is headquartered in Riverside, NJ, with additional facilities in Fort Worth, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada. The company distributes its products through a superior network of independent lighting showrooms, electrical distributors, furniture retailers and fan specialty shops around the world. The Monte Carlo Fan Company has developed an enviable reputation for combining style, technology and design. Babs Blair, Director of Leasing at World Market Center commented, “The lighting category is a very significant part of the home furnishings industry and we understand the importance of offering buyers a strong lineup of lighting manufacturers. With the recent signing of companies such as Quoizel, Murray Feiss and Monte Carlo Fan Company we are pleased to be able to offer buyers a growing list of new companies to see at Las Vegas Market.” The biggest push to the lighting category at World Market Center will actually come with the addition of Building Three, which is now leasing and scheduled to break ground this September. With close to 300,000 square feet of showroom space dedicated to the growing lighting category, leasing efforts are well underway on this 2.1 million square foot, 16-story building which promises to be the largest, most diversified building yet. In addition to the new lighting companies joining World Market Center, Minka Lighting, a current tenant in Building One, recently announced plans to increase the company’s presence at Las Vegas Market by leasing an additional space in Building Three. In its 23rd year of business, the Minka Group has grown to become a leader in the decorative lighting industry and as a company, it prides itself in the quality and workmanship of each and every fixture it produces Minka Lighting’s expansion plans at World Market Center are well underway and company Vice President and General Manager Peter Decsy commented, “We are very excited about the growth of Las Vegas Market and feel it’s important for Minka Lighting to be a part of this dynamic new market and so we are currently making plans to lease an additional space in the third building.” The current and future lineup of lighting manufacturers with permanent showrooms in Buildings One and Two at World Market Center include: Adesso Inc.
