Capel President and CEO Resigns

Mr. Eric Birnbach has resigned his position as President and CEO of Capel Enterprises. Mr. Birnbach was helpful in making the transition to third generation management following the retirement of the three Capel brothers on October 1, 2005. During the past year, Capel has been successful in giving its showrooms a new look and energy. Capel's Zip Ship program has been improved, as has the Capel Anywhere™ indoor/outdoor rug collection. Mr. Bruce Hric, who has been the Chief Financial Officer of Capel since 1998, has been appointed by the Capel Board of Directors to be the acting CEO while a search is conducted to fill the position vacated by Mr. Birnbach.
