Escalate Retail, a provider of sales, merchandising, and loyalty solutions for retailers, e-tailers, and direct marketers, announced that they have hired a new Senior Vice President to head up their Development organization.
Spence Mallder joins Escalate Retail as the Senior Vice President of Development, bringing over 22 years of experience in all aspects of retail application development. He specializes in technology and process integration across all retail channels, technology strategy development, E-Commerce, complex systems development and integration, and project/delivery leadership.
Mallder comes from IBM where he was the Lead Partner in the Retail Application Innovation Services (AIS) group within IBM Global Business Services. He was also responsible for the strategy, definition, and development of IBM’s Retail Multi-Channel solution. Prior to IBM, Mallder held positions including senior roles with Mainspring and Ernst & Young where he led software development, design, and implementation projects for companies in a variety of industries. His technology experience spans development of real-time, object-oriented applications, CORBA, J2EE, messaging middleware, and hardware-in-the-loop technology simulations.
