Lyon Mercantile Group announced at the Winter 2007 Las Vegas Market that it is teaming with Equifax Inc. to bring customers the most comprehensive business credit information in the industry. Called the Enhanced Lyon Pride Credit Report, this report combines credit information from Lyon’s industry leading database with Equifax’s extensive commercial data to empower today’s home furnishings and giftware providers to make informed credit risk decisions. Through this relationship, home furnishing providers gain access to a new version of the Lyon Pride Credit Report, which has been augmented with trade information from Equifax’s vast commercial database. This enhanced report connects users with valuable credit information, including Lyon’s industry- specific data and Equifax’s banking and non-banking trade receivable history such as telecommunications and utility data. “By joining forces with Equifax, we are able to enrich our highly regarded credit report with additional world-class trade data to give customers a powerful means of assessing risk while expanding their own customer base,” said Rick Mantin, president of Lyon Mercantile. “The Enhanced Lyon Pride Credit Report is a unique solution designed to provide our customers with the most comprehensive business credit information in the industry.” The Enhanced Lyon Pride Credit Report features a number of enhancements, including SIC codes, extensive Banking Trade data, and the Equifax Payment Index, a tool designed to measure risk based on past credit history and behavior. With the addition of this data, Lyon Mercantile customers gain a more complete view of a business’s financial obligations. “Lyon Mercantile has long been regarded as one of the leading sources of detailed business information in the home furnishings market”, said Michael Shannon, president, Equifax Commercial Solutions. “Our relationship with Lyon Mercantile demonstrates our commitment to teaming with industry leaders to bring our data, technology and analytics to key commercial markets.” For more information about the Enhanced Lyon Pride Credit Report, visit www.lyoncredit.com or contact Terri Bender, Lyon National Sales Manager, at (800) 935-5966.
